Bihar Utsav 2017 Brief Visit

Bihar Utsav 2017 has been organized from 16th March to 31st March 2017 at different locations mainly in Bihar and Delhi. Each year on 22nd March, Establishment Day of Bihar, many cultural and promotional programs showcased by Bihar Government and Department of Industry, Bihar.

Bihar celebrates BiharDiwas on March 22nd each year.

This year Upendra Maharati Shilpa Anusandhan Sansthan[UMSAS] is organizing the event that exhibits Handloom and Handicrafts work from people and small industry of Bihar. This exhibition is a type of showcase of different products and at the same time they can sale those product in the exhibition. Apart from main events in Bihar, INA Dilli Haat is also hosting the Bihar Utsav 2017. More than 50 stalls that are dedicated to Bihar handloom and handicraft product are showing and selling in Bihar Utsav.

Folk Songs by various artist from Bihar

Madhubani Painting, Bhagalpuri Silk, Jute Products and jewelry, Tikuli art work, handloom bedsheets and bamboo art work are main attraction of the event. Some brass and metal works are also shown in few shops. Many small-scale entrepreneurs were excited for the exhibition cum sale model of this festival of Bihar Diwas that gives an opportunity to show their talent.

Apart from showcase of handicraft work, Bihar Utsav is also organizing the cultural program that consists of Bihari Folk music and dance programs. Many Bihari artist are performing Bhojpuri, Maithili and other local language music and songs. Satyendra Kumar Sangeet and Usha Singh performed the different folk songs and some request from the audience. Audience were very happy as their request songs were getting selected and performed by singers.

Food Items

If the event is related to Bihar and at the same time Litti-Chokha is not present, that is not possible. Few shops were providing the delicious Litti-Chokha, Paani-Puri, Chat that are very popular snacks item for Biharis. Sudha peda and Rasgulla was also there for sweet dish memory of Bihar.
